When there is no bunch of greens for conservation at hand, you can prepare delicious tomatoes for the winter according to this simple recipe. For this workpiece, I use tomatoes of the “cream” variety - they are dense and in the process of conservation they maintain the shape well.

Ingredients

  • Tomatoes 1.5 kg
  • Onion 400 g
  • Black pepper (peas) – 25 pcs
  • Water 1 l
  • Vinegar (9%) – 50 ml
  • Sugar 30 g
  • Salt 20 g

A step -by -step recipe for cooking

Rinse the tomatoes, cut into quarters, removing the stalks.

Peel the onion, cut into half rings, pour boiling water and throw it on a colander.

At the bottom of pre -sterilized jars, place peppercorns and prepared onions.

Fill the banks with tomatoes, lay out a layer of onion on top.

For the marinade, connect water, salt and sugar, mix and bring to a boil. Then enter vinegar and boil the marinade for 1-2 minutes.
