Today I want to offer you a recipe for minimalist refueling for borsch. And although beets - a year -round product, in winter it is very convenient to open a jar of such a semi -finished product and, without smoking your hands, quickly and without a special waste of time cook delicious and aromatic borscht.

Ingredients

  • Beetroot1 kg
  • Water1 l
  • Citric acid5 g
  • Salt30 g
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • Greens (optional) – 1 bunch

A step -by -step recipe for cooking

Rinse the beets well, lower it into a pan of water and boil until half -coated (about 20 minutes after boiling). Pour beets with cold water and cool.

Clean the cooled beets and grate on a coarse grater.

If you plan to add greens, rinse it, slightly dry and chop it. Combine grated beets with greens, mix. Add black ground pepper to taste.

Fill in pre -prepared sterile banks beetroot.

Boil water. Add salt and citric acid.

The resulting boiling marinade pour beets in banks to the top. Banks tightly close and cool. Keep the workpiece in a cool place.
